11 bit studios and Harvester Games revealed at the Triple-i Initiative that Trainwatch, a time-management psychological horror game, launches on PC via Steam on March 10, 2027. It’s the new project from Rem Michalski, creator of The Cat Lady, Lorelai and Burnhouse Lane.

A month in the tower
You play as Troy, the new Gatekeeper at a desolate railway crossing in the middle of nowhere. The job sounds simple: close the gate and open the gate during a one-month contract. Meanwhile, Troy is trying one last time to win back his wife’s trust and stay sober. But a month is a long time, and things only get weirder.

“Trainwatch might be the most mechanics-heavy of my games, but the gist of psychological horror is still very much there,” says Michalski, the game’s solo developer. “It’s a more nuanced kind of horror than explicit violence and jump scares. It’s about an unsettling experience, a claustrophobic setting, and internal, human traumas.”
