Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have released Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, the sequel to the retro FPS that brought the Warhammer 40K universe to classic campaign shooter style. It is available now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Two ways to purge heretics
The big addition is Sister of Battle Nyra Veyrath, a nimble blade-wielding playable character. She shares the campaign with Ultramarine Malum Caedo, the hero of the first game. Together they race to stop Vashtorr the Arkifane, a demigod who wiped out much of the Imperial fleet and must be banished back to the Warp.
New Melta weapons join the arsenal, enemies include Nurglings and Chaos Cultists, and the soundtrack features a new track by Mick Gordon (DOOM 2016, DOOM Eternal). No prior Warhammer 40K knowledge is needed, according to the developer.
