Giant-spider horror game Huntsman, from OnTheHouse Studios and published by Ten Image Publishing, gets new content on October 26: a free Hardcore Mode for all players and its first story add-on, Protect & Serve, which brings one of the community’s most requested features: combat.

Hardcore Mode: double the spiders
For players who want a tougher challenge, the free Hardcore Mode adds:
- A second Huntsman spider in multiple locations;
- Limited saves – you need to find save discs before you can use them;
- Updated Orb Weaver attack speeds;
- Randomized door codes.
Huntsman DLC Protect & Serve: time to fight back
The DLC picks up shortly after the main game’s credits, but this time you play as a local police officer. Swapping the flashlight for a handgun, Protect & Serve brings combat to the game with its own mode, story and missions, set in a hidden part of Atherton Labs.
In the story, a lone survivor stumbles into a police station with wild tales of monstrous experiments and giant arachnids. As officers investigate the lab, they find a door hidden behind storage crates that was missed on first inspection – and the nightmare starts again.
Huntsman will also get two cosmetic skin packs, the Nature Pack and the More Spiders Pack, with details still under wraps.

The base game is available now on Steam, and Protect & Serve arrives on October 26.
