2K and Gearbox Software have released Hallowed Concepts, the fourth expansion for Risk of Rain 2, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The expansion takes players deeper into the cult-like world of N’Kuhana. To uncover the secrets of the N’tormat, players fight through haunting new regions of Petrichor V, face horrific new enemies and unlock never-before-seen powers. There are curses to overcome, deadly trials and new stages, including the returning Damp Caverns, the villages of the Tenebrous Quagmire and the sacred ground of The Lurid Basilica.

Two new survivors

• Acolyte: a close-range glaive-wielder who trades power for a great cost. Part of the health she loses and the healing she receives is set aside to reclaim while attacking, and her Sacrifice special marks an enemy and channels the Death God’s power for massive damage.
• Enforcer: returning from the original Risk of Rain, he pairs unbreakable defense with tactical movement. His shield blocks everything in front and parries projectiles, Shield Tackle closes the distance and Rally Point creates a shockwave and a barrier that restores with each kill.

Trials of N’Kuhana

Survivors can also take on the Trials of N’Kuhana, timed challenges in pocket realms, each with their own objectives and rewards.
