Electronic Arts has detailed Season 5 of Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC, which takes the war to Las Vegas and its surroundings. The season starts on October 13 and is the biggest since launch, with three new maps, a new battle royale mode and a Dead Space Halloween event.
Phase 1: Siege of Las Vegas (October 13)
The first phase brings two maps. Vegas Strip turns the city’s most famous avenue into a battlefield, with casinos, multi-story hotels, tunnels and luxury restaurants ready to come down. Area 51 moves the fight to the desert hills and into the corridors of America’s most mysterious military base.
REDSEC gets Quick Royale, a compact version of the battle royale on Vegas Strip, with shorter rounds and fewer players. Eliminations earn tokens to bring you or your squadmates back into the match, but the number of kills needed goes up as the round goes on. The Open Series and Elite Series competitions also return, with the Elite Series offering a global prize pool of US$ 1,338,000.
Dead Space Halloween event
From October 20 to November 7, a limited-time event sends Pax Armata after secret technology hidden beneath Area 51. The settings are inspired by the 2023 Dead Space remake, and there are exclusive cosmetics to unlock.
Phases 2 and 3
Phase 2 (Casino Heist) starts on November 10 with the European Casino map, built for close-quarters combat and packed with destructible walls for opening new routes. Phase 3 (Frozen Aces) arrives on December 8, bringing an unseasonal freeze to Las Vegas and a new Operation spanning Vegas Strip and Area 51.
The season also adds community-requested features such as squads and a server browser, plus changes to Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City.
