Bethesda talks about Project Scorpio

Bethesda, through Todd Howard, says it is already updating Fallout 4 and Skyrim for Microsoft’s Project Scorpio, sold as a true 4K console.

Microsoft has been selling Project Scorpio

as a device with true 4K that will bring a big change to games; according to the company, it will be the most powerful console ever made.

As everyone knows, Xbox One games and Xbox 360 backward-compatible games will run on the Scorpio, which covers everything from the first Xbox One to the new Xbox One S. Compatibility covers current accessories.

To get the most out of Project Scorpio, there will also be games that have already been released for Xbox One and that will receive updates with improvements so they look their best on the new console.

Bethesda announced, through Todd Howard, that it is already working on two games for Project Scorpio:

“You can watch an old movie, but it’s very hard to play an old game. We just updated Fallout 4 for the PS4 Pro. We’re used to that in the PC world. We can update the games, and people will keep playing. Microsoft’s Project Scorpio is coming and we’re going to update Fallout 4 and Skyrim for it. That’s our hope, that these consoles keep that spirit (of updates) from now on.”

Now all we can do is hope that, over time, all games receive an update for Project Scorpio.
