Xbox One update arrives for all players

The Xbox One Creators Update reaches all players, with Beam streaming, a faster Guide, Screen Time parental controls and a Blu-ray player in beta.

It is now every player’s turn to get the long-awaited Creators Update.

The update had been in testing for a few months for Insider Program members.
It is packed with new features for players, with hundreds of improvements and a focus on performance, people and streaming, letting users reach the things they like most as quickly as possible.

Let’s see what’s coming!!!

New way to multitask

The new Guide will make it simpler and faster to reach the features you care about most, such as quick access to music, screenshots and GameDVR. A new achievements tracker was also added, letting you track your favorite achievements while you play.

New look for the dashboard

The goal is to simplify the user interface and increase overall system performance, which had its speed optimized.

Faster, more intuitive Guide

It has new features and functionality, showing the content you care about most, including your games, apps, Store, recently used games and applications and your Top Pins. It also offers quick access to your media controls to play background music.

If you are playing music in the background, you can access the controls directly from the Guide, letting you control playback, pause, rewind, fast-forward and manage volume controls. Finally, you will be able to capture screenshots and record video with a simple press of a button. And in the GameDVR menu, you now have easier access to capture the screen and record clips.

Streaming with Beam

Beam is the new feature on Xbox One and Windows 10 to make player broadcasts easier, making game streams easier and faster to set up.
Players can broadcast Xbox gameplay directly from the tab, with the ability to manage their Beam broadcasts and interact with other players in chat overlays that appear on screen.

Screen Time

A tool for parents to control how long their children can play.
Blu-ray Player

The Blu-ray disc player on Xbox One, now in beta, supports bitstream passthrough, which lets your receiver decode audio natively. All bitstream formats are supported, including new ones like Dolby Atmos.
