Blizzard announces World of Warcraft Classic for 2019

At BlizzCon, Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Classic, the original game from 14 years ago before any expansion, for all WoW subscribers.

Today at BlizzCon, Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Classic, which is exactly the same original game released 14 years ago, before receiving any expansion. According to John Hight, WoW executive producer, “Anyone with a World of Warcraft subscription can access it,” meaning this version will be available to all subscribed users of Blizzard’s MMO.

Blizzard made a WoW Classic demo available (teaser right below), both for those attending the event in person and for those watching at home who bought a virtual ticket.

John also talked about Tides of Vengeance, an update for the Battle for Azeroth expansion. According to him, there will be unique versions of attacks for both the Alliance and the Horde. More details will be released throughout the event. A cinematic trailer about the battle of Azeroth was also shown, featuring the confrontation between the Alliance king Anduin and the Horde general Saurfang. Watch:
