Blizzard reveals the new Overwatch hero

Blizzard revealed Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe, known as Calamity, as Overwatch’s new hero at BlizzCon 2018, debuting in the Reunion animated short.

Blizzard revealed, during BlizzCon 2018, the new hero of Overwatch, Elizabeth Caledonia Ashe (aka Calamity). Ashe first appeared in the short film “Reunion”, which was shown during the BlizzCon 2018 opening. Watch:

Ashe’s description says she is a character with “quite high mechanical skill”; here is a video showing the character in action:

According to a report by Eurogamer: “Ashe is equipped with The Viper, a semi-automatic rifle that can fire quick shots or be used through scoped sights for more powerful and precise shots. She also packs dynamite that can be detonated after a short delay or when shot. Alongside explosive damage, the dynamite can set enemies on fire, dealing damage over time.

The coach gun knocks enemies back while propelling Ashe backward, for extra mobility – and finally there is Ashe’s sidekick, BOB. When deployed, BOB charges forward, sending enemies into the air, and then holding fire with his arm cannons.”

There is no information yet on when we will see Ashe available in the game, but more information will probably appear during the event.
