Darksiders 3 was recently released and has been receiving mixed reviews. This is quite worrying, especially considering that the series is niche, meaning negative scores could end up hurting sales. Although it did not receive good reviews overall, THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors said in an interview with GamesIndustry that he is proud of the game the company released and that as long as fans keep supporting the series, THQ Nordic will continue with it. Wingefors said:
“The promise we made was to deliver a game for the franchise’s fans, and I am very proud of that. I am very proud of what we were able to show you; Gunfire (the company that developed the game) made an excellent game, and even my publishing team in Vienna has been working very hard to execute this – all the marketing, all the behind-the-scenes stuff.”
“There are always some people who don’t appreciate this kind of product, but there are also people who really like it. If we keep our promise and deliver a product the fans really like, I think we’ll be fine.”
Darksiders 3 is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
