Carlton’s dance (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air) is one of the most famous dances created in recent decades. For those who don’t remember, here is a video to help:
As you can see in the video, there is a dance in Fortnite that faithfully reproduces the actor/dancer’s moves, and the actor who played Carlton, Alfonso Ribeiro, is not happy about it and is suing Epic Games (the game’s maker). His lawyer told TMZ:
“It is widely recognized that Mr. Ribeiro’s likeness and intellectual property were appropriated by Epic Games in the most popular game in the world right now, Fortnite. Epic made record profits from the downloadable content named ‘Fresh’. However, Epic failed to compensate or even ask Mr. Ribeiro’s permission to use his likeness and iconic intellectual property.”

As we know, Fortnite is not the only one using the “Carlton dance”: it also appears in 2K Games’ NBA 2K, which is also being sued. Bungie, for now, is in luck, since the actor and his lawyer seem not to have noticed that the “Carlton dance” also appears in Destiny.
