The Division 2 will have a 40-hour campaign that can be played solo or co-op

The Division 2 will have a 40-hour campaign playable solo or in co-op, Ubisoft promises, plus three Dark Zones. Here are the details.

The Division 2 is an MMO with a style similar to what we saw in the game Destiny. Ubisoft promises the game will be bigger and better than its predecessor in every respect. According to the developers, the game will have a campaign of about 40 hours that can be played solo or in co-op mode. Still on the campaign, the developers promised it will be a much better campaign than the first game’s and that it was designed with a well-defined ending in mind, which means The Division 2’s campaign will probably resemble a “normal” campaign found in single-player games.

Besides this information, we also learned that there will be more than one Dark Zone, namely:

Dark Zone East – This is the most open area of all, perfect for snipers.

Dark Zone South – This is where the infected were quarantined at the start of the outbreak. This area will be more focused on combat at short range.

Dark Zone West – This zone is in an upscale area of the Georgetown suburbs, where the tests for a cure for the virus (which didn’t work) were carried out. This area blends short- and medium-range combat.

The Dark Zones in The Division 2 will be unlocked as the player progresses through the main campaign, and each of them will have a story that fits into the narrative. The team behind The Division 2 chose to make the Dark Zones more balanced, normalizing all gear stats to the same standard for all players, ensuring that victory would go to the most skilled player rather than the one with the best items… but the developers did not forget the players who like the Dark Zone with level advantages: at the end of the game a special Dark Zone will be unlocked where level advantages are active. The Division 2 will be released on March 15 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. Below is a video showing some gameplay of the Dark Zone in The Division 2:
