Turn 10 announces new additions for Forza Motorsport 7

Turn 10 plans Forza Motorsport 7 updates: reworked collisions and force feedback physics, Crash-Assist, and loot boxes replaced by a dealer next month.

New additions to Forza Motorsport 7

Forza Motorsport 7 Upcoming Updates

*They are reworking the collision system, your car will no longer bounce when colliding with other people

*They will implement a “Crash-Assist”, which stops you from being completely wrecked at Turn 1

*Racing regulations are on the way

*Painters will be able to choose lighting, background, etc. in the new paint space

  • Physics will now be calculated differently, the tire model has been revised and will lead to a much more realistic feel

*The current FFB system will be completely discarded (it was only calculated with the tires, not the car) and will be replaced by a new physics-based system that now uses the tires, road surface, springs and axles to calculate FFB.

*They want to rework the slipstream system

*They will implement more in terms of drifting, drag racing and lobbies. They wanted to see how much the community wants these features, and were surprised by the huge number of players (more than 60%) who played with these new features

*They realized that their competitors (“that don’t have ‘Motorsport’ in their name”) are better at this and want to make Forza big again with all of its formats [This could be a hint at qualifying, strategies and more]

*Loot boxes will be removed completely next month and will be replaced by a dealer that changes its stock every 6 minutes)

**Work on a new game has not started yet, they have a roadmap for FM7 that covers the next 2 to 3 years.*

*In the YouTube chat, they answered that they are looking into backporting certain features from FH4 to FM7
