The sentence above was said by an alleged (I explain that part at the end) creative director of Google Stadia and made quite a stir this afternoon on Twitter. And he didn’t stop there:
In a mix of arrogance and greed, the man above only seems to see the opportunity to put more $$$ in his pocket. He seems to forget that many streamers get their games from the developers themselves, and those who don’t buy them with their own money… he also seems to ignore that having streamers/YouTubers playing your game generates engagement and interest in the product. Times have changed, and so has the way of getting attention for your product in the gaming world… today it’s not hard to see that streamers/YouTubers are much more in tune with the new generations.
Do you know what’s funniest about all this? On his Twitter profile the guy above calls himself “Creative director of Google Stadia”, look:
But in fact he is not the creative director of Google Stadia, but rather “a creative director at a Montreal game studio that was bought by Google last December”
I think he just wanted to “show off”… what do you think?
