Ubisoft Brasil releases Assassin’s Creed Valhalla video with repente duo Caju e Castanha

Ubisoft Brasil released a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla video with the duo Caju e Castanha, a community team initiative inspired by the game’s Flytings.

São Paulo, December 2, 2020 – Ubisoft Brasil has just released another video for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, the newly launched installment of the acclaimed game series for PC and consoles. In the celebratory video, the duo Caju e Castanha accept the challenge and showcase the Brazilian art of repente with an improvised song about the game. With irreverence and good humor, the verses allude to “Flytings”, Viking insult battles that can be held inside the game and are translated as “Repente” in the Brazilian Portuguese localized version.

The promotional video is part of a campaign developed by Ubisoft Brasil’s community, marketing and creative hub team to connect the in-game feature, in a fun way, with Brazilian musical tradition. In the music video, Caju e Castanha riff on the nature of repente and use rhymes based on some of Valhalla’s lines and elements from several other games in the franchise.
The trailer with the repente duo Caju e Castanha is available on Ubisoft Brasil’s official YouTube and Facebook channels, and can be watched at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywnlYNcAEMU
