Nintendo eShop launches in Brazil

Nintendo’s eShop is now live in Brazil on the Switch, with direct purchases, pre-orders and Gold Coins worth 5 centavos each, and about 400 titles.

Nintendo’s online store on the Nintendo Switch has finally launched officially in Brazil. The platform can now be accessed directly from the console and follows the same standard as the foreign stores, where products can be bought directly, instead of the previous method, which was buying keys.

It was also revealed how other eShop tools work, such as the option to buy during pre-orders, as well as cancelling them without bureaucracy up to 7 days before release.

The Gold Coins from the My Nintendo program, translated into Portuguese as Pontos de Ouro, are now also available in the Brazilian version of the store, worth 5 centavos each. The number of points received on each purchase will be equivalent to 5% of the amount paid for digital games and 1% of the digital game’s price when redeemed from a physical game.

Previously, it was announced that the new library available after launch would have around 400 titles; however, they are still being added gradually, so keep an eye on releases and on price updates in the console interface.
