According to Steam Spy, Cyberpunk 2077 has already reached 10 million units sold on PC alone

Cyberpunk 2077 has reportedly passed 10 million units sold on PC alone, according to a Steam Spy estimate. See the numbers.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been an almost omnipresent game in the news of (almost) every gaming site you visit right now, and it’s no wonder: the game was highly anticipated, especially after the exceptional The Witcher 3 from the same developer. Unfortunately, the game fell far short of the hype and has become a disappointment that not even the most famous market analyst could have predicted!

But it seems that not even that has been able to hurt the PC version’s sales: the site Steam Spy (famous for using Steam APIs to estimate the number of game sales on Steam) put in its estimates that the game has already reached more than 10 million copies sold. Although Steam Spy only shows a sales estimate, everything indicates that the real sales number may really be that (or at least a number close to it), because:

  • We know the game sold so much that it paid for itself on the first day.
  • CD PROJEKT RED has already announced that in pre-orders (advance purchases) alone the game sold more than 8 million units.
  • Although the game suffers from bugs and performance problems on every platform, the PC version is by far the most stable and considerably prettier version of the game.

It remains to be seen what the number of refunds for the title is… and you, did you play it on any platform? Tell us your experience!
