Hitman 3 paid for itself with just 1 week of sales!

Hitman 3 paid for itself with just one week of sales, IO Interactive announces, closing Agent 47's World of Assassination trilogy.

Hitman is a very old series in the gaming world. The game tells the story of Agent 47, a highly trained assassin who carried out his missions with surgical precision. The series has had several games, the newest being Hitman 3, which was just released and has already sold enough to cover all its development costs. IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak commented:

“We are very happy with Hitman 3’s journey. It has been a labor of love between our fans and everyone at the studio. As developer and publisher, we are immensely proud to be able to say that Hitman 3 is already profitable. We recouped the total costs of the project in less than a week. That puts us in a really good place and allows us to move forward with confidence in our ambitious plans for future projects.”

“We demand of each other that our games be handcrafted, meticulously detailed and unique. At this point, we would be doing our community a disservice if we delivered less than that. They are used to us setting a very high standard of quality and memorable experiences, so we keep that mindset not only for Hitman, but also for our future projects.”

Hitman 3 can be played now on Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, PS5, Google Stadia, Nintendo Switch (via cloud streaming) and PC.
