Firewalk Studio, which is made up of veterans of franchises such as Halo, Call of Duty and Mass Effect, has struck a partnership with Sony for the exclusive publishing of its multiplayer-focused game. We don’t yet know what style of multiplayer game we are talking about, but rumors indicate it will be a new Battle Royale. On the partnership, Hermen Hulst, head of PlayStation Studios, said:
“ProbablyMonsters has built an extraordinary team at Firewalk Studios with remarkable industry talent, and its original multiplayer game will be an exciting addition to our portfolio. We are committed to bringing a wide range of diverse gaming experiences to our platform, and we are thrilled to partner with a visionary studio like Firewalk to bring its truly ambitious experience to life.”
On the studio’s culture, studio head Tony Hsu said:
“Our goal at Firewalk Studios is to create incredible shared experiences through multiplayer games. That goal is supported both by ProbablyMonsters’ world-class operations team and by a SIE team that loves games and are big supporters of our project and studio.”
The studio promised to release more information soon, so let’s wait!
