Horizon: Forbidden West development is nearing its end!

Horizon Forbidden West development is nearing its end, according to Guerrilla, following the worrying news about the game's release date.

After the beautiful trailer for Sony’s new exclusive, Horizon: Forbidden West, we received somewhat worrying news. At the time it was said that the game was scheduled for release this year, but due to difficulties caused by the pandemic, there was a possibility that it would only launch in 2022. Fortunately, it seems almost certain that Horizon will come out this year, since the game is in the final stages of development and should soon go Gold (the term used when a game’s development is complete). The game’s director said:

“We are now in the final phase of development. So we are polishing the game and fixing bugs. We are also tidying up certain aspects of the game, like some of the machines being behind – because it takes an enormous amount of time to build them. We’re working on the final cinematics. So, we are really finishing. There is still a lot to see with a game of this size and magnitude, but we are in the final stages.”

Horizon: Forbidden West will be released for PS4 and PS5 on a date yet to be announced.
