Brazil will have 22 game studios presenting at GDC 2021

Brazil will have 22 game studios presenting at GDC 2021, a sign of the growth of national development at the industry's biggest conference.

Brazil has never been recognized as a powerhouse in game development. We do have several representatives, but still far fewer than other countries traditional in the field of development. Fortunately, little by little, this is changing! This year 22 Brazilian game studios will present at GDC 2021 (taking place July 19 to 23), and the genres are quite varied, from PC to mobile, puzzle games, roguelikes… singleplayer and multiplayer games. Eliana Russi, Games Manager, Brazil, commented:

“To say we are excited to take part in GDC for another year would be an understatement. We are extremely proud of our studios, and GDC is a wonderful opportunity to show the world why Brazil is becoming a meeting point for game developers and the industry as a whole.”

Games developed in Brazil will also appear at other events this year such as Game Connection Online from July 19 to August 1, 2021, MeetToMatch – The San Francisco Edition from July 19 to July 23, 2021, MeetToMatch – The Shanghai Edition from July 28 to August 2, 2021. Today Brazil is recognized as the 13th largest games market in the world, and the second largest in Latin America, behind only Mexico. Check the list of participants:
