[RUMOR] Netflix and Sony may be negotiating a game streaming partnership

Rumor: Netflix and Sony may be negotiating a partnership on a game streaming service, a market contested by Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

Game streaming has set big players in the market in motion, and many companies see game streaming as the future, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Nvidia… all of them have been betting heavily on it. Until now Sony had been timid in the market with its Playstation Now, but rumors indicate the company wants to expand its service by creating something more robust and, for that, (supposedly) sought help from Netflix.

The Netflix recently announced it would launch a streaming platform exclusively for games… a data miner named Steve Moser supposedly managed to extract a series of important pieces of information from Netflix’s games app for iOS. According to the data miner, Sony’s game streaming platform has the codename Shark, and he managed to extract an image of the game Ghost of Tsushima and some images of the DualSense.

Treat this as a rumor, but it makes some sense for Sony to seek the biggest specialist in the streaming market for a partnership or to help it create/improve its streaming platform. Let us wait and see!
