Destiny 2 for 2017

Activision confirmed the release of Destiny 2 for 2017, with a story presented far better and more cinematic scenes than the first game.

Activision confirmed the release of “Destiny 2” for 2017.

The sequel to Bungie’s online shooter will arrive between September and November and will be “more accessible to casual players”.

“Destiny 2” will have a story with much better presentation, with more cinematic scenes. One of the main criticisms from the public at the time of launch was that the story was told very poorly and was confusing, and did not make good use of actors like Peter Dinklage (from “Game of Thrones”) and Nathan Fillion (from “Castle”), who are part of the cast of the space adventure. This caused disappointment given it is a game from the same studio as “Halo”, the Microsoft series highly praised for both its narrative and its shooting mechanics.
Even so, that did not stop the game from selling very well on PS3/PS4 and Xbox 360 and One.

Bungie promises new elements to attract and retain casual players, but without alienating the dedicated fans who have played the first game since launch. The production of “Destiny 2” is under the command of the team responsible for “The Taken King” expansion, the game’s best DLC, which brought many changes to the game’s systems and also the best story in the game so far.

It is not yet known whether players will be able to transfer their characters from the original game to “Destiny 2”, nor which platforms will receive the new game.
