Yet Another Zombie Defense boils down to defending yourself from hordes of zombies that attack every night. You know it’s a lost cause: the horde of undead is overwhelming and sooner or later your time will come. There is only one thing that matters: how long can you survive?
A top-down arcade zombie shooter with tactical and strategic elements. Get ready before nightfall, build defensive barricades, buy weapons and ammo, set up turrets and stay alive as long as you can. Each night puts your skills to the test, as the zombie forces get stronger with each wave.
Starting with a basic weapon, the player can earn new weapons, ammo and different barricades by killing the relentless undead. There is always something new to buy or areas to defend, keeping the action always strategic. Unfortunately, the environment has only a single lamppost in the middle to guide your bearings.
Playing alone is a fine test of skill, but you can play local or online co-op, with a maximum of 4 players. Its multiplayer runs smoothly in all modes, and you can also search for matches and join them midway. However, playing co-op adds new strategies, since the money is shared among the group, balancing weapons and defenses.
The controls are very easy and fluid, which makes things more fun and quick. Each wave gets harder, not just because of the number of zombies, but also because their strength and speed increase. From time to time, the player also gains a level in which stats such as health, reload speed or movement speed can be increased. There is always something to buy or unlock after each wave to make the game addictive. Different types of zombies also make appearances, from zombies that look like mangled monsters to demons.
The wooden barriers don’t last long, but they are cheap. Automatic machine guns will help fight the horde, but they are expensive and require buying extra ammo. The number of weapons available is quite acceptable. The game has more than 10 types of weapons. When you die, you have to wait for your friends to clear the whole horde until you can respawn.
Graphics are quite simple, just like its sound design. The music may seem annoying during long play sessions, but nothing that gets in the way too much. But we have to take into account the game’s low cost and development budget. Still, it is a lot of fun.

CONCLUSION
Yet Another Zombie Defense can be a great option for fun among friends; a cheap option that will entertain you for a few hours.
