Rocksteady says it is not developing a Superman game

Rocksteady's Sefton Hill denied rumors of a Superman game being announced at The Game Awards 2018, saying the studio is still hard at work.

Rumors recently emerged that Rocksteady, the company famous for making the Batman “Arkham” game trilogy, was developing a new Superman game that would be announced at this year’s The Game Awards. The rumor soon began gaining strength because its source had leaked information about Devil May Cry 5 a week before Capcom’s official announcement.

The news got many fans excited; after all, a Superman game made by the capable Rocksteady would be a dream come true. Unfortunately the dream did not last long. Sefton Hill of Rocksteady told his followers on Twitter:

“I’m looking forward to this year’s The Game Awards! We are still working hard in our development bunker so don’t expect an announcement from Rocksteady Games.”

After clarifying that the company would not make any announcement at this year’s The Game Awards, Hill also poured cold water on the rumors about it being a Superman game:

“When it’s ready to be shown, you’ll be the first to know. Spoiler: it’s not Superman 😳.”
