Beyond Good and Evil 2 will require a permanent internet connection

Beyond Good and Evil 2 will require a permanent internet connection to be played, Ubisoft reveals in new details about the game.

Ubisoft recently released some extra information about Beyond Good and Evil 2. The biggest highlight is that the game will require a permanent internet connection to be played, making it impossible to play while offline. According to Ubisoft, Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be an online multiplayer game with a vast and seamless cooperative experience, offering “dynamic” updates to the game world, and that is why players will always need to be connected.

Ubisoft also stressed that the game can be played solo, but recommends playing with friends for a better experience.

“Beyond Good and Evil 2 is an online multiplayer game with a rich and seamless co-op experience. That is why the game will need an internet connection to receive dynamic updates and play with friends (which is certainly better when you are playing as a Space Pirate!). The choice to play co-op, however, remains yours, so playing BGE2 solo is absolutely possible if you are the lone kind of Space Pirate…”

Below you can check the latest trailer released by Ubisoft, which shows more of the combat system, co-op and the game world.
