New Call of Duty is being developed by Infinity Ward and will launch between October and December

The new Call of Duty is being developed by Infinity Ward and will launch between October and December 2019, Activision confirms.

Every year we get a new game in the Call of Duty saga. Activision splits the series’ development among 3 studios, Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch, so each game spends roughly 3 years in development. This time the next game in the series, which will be released between October and December, will be developed by Infinity Ward, widely known for developing the Modern Warfare saga.

The series’ new game, according to Activision’s new president, will be “exciting” and will be revealed this quarter. He said:

“We have an incredibly good feeling about this year’s game, made by Infinity Ward. The game will be revealed later this quarter,”

“I think it will be very clear why we are so excited about its launch.”

It has not yet been said whether the game will have a single-player campaign (although Activision said, at the launch of the previous game, that the saga’s next game would indeed have a single-player campaign) or other details such as modes or new features; for now we only have this information. Is anyone out there looking forward to the next game, or are you already tired of the series?
