Death Stranding release date announced

Death Stranding gets a release date: Hideo Kojima's first game since leaving Konami will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and launch on November 8, 2019.

Death Stranding will be Kojima’s first game after his controversial exit from Konami. The game will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and will be released on November 8, 2019! The announcement was made in a trailer of almost 9 minutes that shows gameplay, exploration, item management and a bit of the building mechanics (the trailer shows the construction of a ladder to reach high places). Also about the game, Kojima commented on the PlayStation Blog:

“People created ‘Walls’ and became accustomed to living in isolation.

“Death Stranding is a completely new kind of action game, where the player’s goal is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all the elements, including the story and the gameplay, are brought together by the game’s theme.” ‘Strand’ or connection.

“As Sam Porter Bridges, you will try to bridge the divisions in society, and create new connections or ‘Strands’ with other players around the world. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you understand the true importance of forging connections with others.

“Now, please enjoy the latest Death Stranding trailer.”
