No Man’s Sky creator says BioWare and Bethesda should stay quiet until they deliver improved versions of their games

No Man's Sky creator Sean Murray says BioWare and Bethesda should stay quiet until they deliver better versions of Anthem and Fallout 76.

No Man’s Sky is one of the most controversial games of this generation, alongside Fallout 76 and Anthem. These games were the target of plenty of criticism because of bugs, performance problems and, above all, an excess of unfulfilled promises. In the case of No Man’s Sky specifically, developer Hello Games chose to go silent and only appear in public again with the improved version of the game, while BioWare and Bethesda did the opposite… both companies chose to keep their relationship with players by answering their questions in forums and threads dedicated to the games.

According to Sean Murray, creator of No Man’s Sky, BioWare’s and Bethesda’s stance should be the same, that is, drop the public statements and focus entirely on delivering an experience worthy of players’ hype. He said:

“We spent two years without talking to the press. And we spent about three months without saying anything to the community. It was very hard. I sat down so many times and wrote the perfect blog post that would explain everything about the game’s development and the way forward. But I could see that I had no credibility at that moment.”

Do you think Sean Murray’s position is right?
