Ubisoft licenses its products to more than 15 partners

Ubisoft licenses its characters and franchises to more than 15 partners for non-gaming products such as books, clothing and collectibles.

Ubisoft has several iconic characters and it is no surprise to see it licensing their use on various “non-gamer” products, such as books, T-shirts, caps and even credit cards. On this, Ubisoft said through its spokesperson, Bruna Soares:

“In a year as challenging as this one, we kept innovating and managed to expand our portfolio of licensed items with great partners. Our latest partner is a good example. We have just closed a licensing deal with Editora Planeta for the publication of the Portuguese edition of the book Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – A Saga de Geirmund, and we believe many readers will also become interested in the game”

There are several other companies that can use the brand’s characters, such as collectibles companies like Iron Galaxy and even credit card companies like Credicard, which has an Assassin’s Creed-themed credit card.

“We have more than 15 licensees, from different market segments and all with excellent results, both in sales and in brand recognition and appreciation. The association between Ubisoft’s values and the licensed items is spontaneous; that is, when a consumer buys a good product tied to our brand, there is naturally a positive perception on both sides. Ubisoft is more than 30 years old, is responsible for some of the biggest hits in video games, is admired by its community and adds a lot of value to licensed products”
