PS4 players told to wait if they want a Cyberpunk 2077 refund

PS4 players are told to wait if they want a Cyberpunk 2077 refund, as the game launched full of bugs and nearly unplayable on base consoles.

Today I would say, without hesitation, that Cyberpunk 2077 has become one of the biggest (if not the biggest) disappointments of the generation. The game arrived full of bugs and is practically unplayable on base consoles, and on top of that many users are having a hard time getting a refund, even though CD PROJEKT RED promised it would allow refunds to everyone who wanted one. It did so as a sort of “goodwill gesture”; too bad it forgot to make an agreement for this with Sony and other retailers.

According to a leaked internal Gamestop memo, the company (and other retailers) will refuse to refund Cyberpunk 2077, and it says that CD PROJEKT RED could issue refunds directly to customers. It is worth noting that even after releasing a statement saying it would offer refunds, CD PROJEKT RED made no deal with Microsoft, Sony or retailers, leaving it up to them whether to refund or not. Those who have not managed to get a refund are told to contact the company, which has been asking buyers to “wait”.

“People are starting to get this response from CD Projekt RED after emailing the “help” address for refunds. The language is interesting: it no longer asks for a refund from Sony. You should wait.”
