1998 was quite a year for PC shooter fans, and Ritual Entertainment’s SiN was one of those games you installed from a magazine CD and never uninstalled. Now Nightdive Studios and Atari have announced a physical standard edition of SiN: Reloaded, their remaster of the classic, for PlayStation 5.

It retails for $29.99 / €29.99 and is planned to ship on January 26, 2027. Pre-orders are live on atari.com.

What made SiN special

The original pushed past the formulas of its day with location-based damage, reactive enemies and interactive levels, from working computers to pilotable aircraft. Reloaded keeps all of that, along with the pair that defined the game: tough Colonel John Blade and the brilliant, wealthy and ethically challenged villain Elexis Sinclaire.

Besides PS5, the digital version is available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2 and PC (Steam and GOG).

Our take

Nightdive has become the keeper of 90s shooters, and seeing SiN in a box again makes you want to arrange the shelf like the old days. A collector’s piece for anyone who lived through PC shooting’s golden age.
