SNK has announced that the classic costumes for Mai Shiranui and Terry Bogard arrive in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as paid DLC on October 22.

The two looks

Mai returns in the kunoichi outfit that defined the character, rebuilt for modern visuals, before the biker suit she wears in City of the Wolves. On Switch 2 this look had already been announced as a pre-order bonus; on the other platforms it arrives as DLC.

Terry gets back the cap, red vest and jacket of the “Hungry Wolf”, the look that was the face of Fatal Fury for years, quite different from the bomber jacket and short hair of the recent games.

The costumes come to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Pricing has not been announced yet.

About the game

Some context helps. City of the Wolves is the seventh main entry in the series and the first new one in more than 25 years, following 1999’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves. Developed by KOF Studio, it launched on April 24, 2025, on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Switch 2 version is set for the same October 22 date as the costumes.

In the fight itself, the game keeps the foundation of Mark of the Wolves, with the S.P.G. system and Just Defense, and adds the new REV System, which opens offensive options until its meter overheats. There are two control schemes: Arcade, with traditional inputs, and Smart, which simplifies special moves and combos. For solo players, the Episodes of South Town mode adds RPG elements, with experience and skills for each fighter. The game also supports Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish text.

Our take

Classic costumes don’t change the fight, but they speak to anyone who grew up in the arcades. It is a calm way to keep the community close while new fighters are on the way, like TEKKEN 8’s Reina, due in December.
