Rumor: Microsoft is interested in acquiring another studio, one that originally worked for Sony

A rumor from insider Klobrille says Microsoft is in advanced talks to acquire a mid-sized studio that has historically worked with PlayStation.

The number of studios Microsoft has acquired over this last year already exceeds 7, and apparently the company does not want to stop there. Recently another rumor emerged, about a supposed acquisition negotiation. The insider who revealed the rumor goes by Klobrille and previously got some Microsoft acquisitions right, the most recent being the acquisition of Obsidian. Klobrille said:

“Let’s make Monday a little more interesting,”

“I can say that Xbox is in advanced talks (a few months) with a mid-sized studio that has historically worked with PlayStation.”

“I’m not naming names because negotiations are still ongoing, but it’s interesting nonetheless.”

The insider also commented that the company’s expansion plan is not over yet:

“The growth of Microsoft Game Studios is not over yet. They are actively talking to multiple studios – big and small. Some of them may surprise you more than others. However, it is still early for all of them. 2019 will continue this story.”

Ready At Dawn (The Order 1886), Quantic Dream (Detroit), Bluepoint (which worked on several remasters and remakes for Sony), From Software (Dark Souls and Bloodborne)… So, do you have any guesses?
