During a presentation at a Polish bank, Adam Kiciński, one of CD Projekt Red’s executives, said they currently have 3 distinct teams each working on a game based on the CyberPunk universe (the company has a total of 800 employees). One of these games is CyberPunk 2077; another is a game supposedly set for release in 2021 that will also be set in the CyberPunk universe, as explained by Adam himself (below); the third is the card game Gwent, which will continue to be supported and receive news.
“Our next big project will also be in the “cyberpunk” universe, and we are already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project for us”.
CyberPunk 2077 will also have a multiplayer component that is being developed in parallel with the game by a team of 40 people… it has not yet been said whether this mode will be released together with the game or later.
So folks, unfortunately it won’t be this time that we see a “The Witcher 4″… maybe in the future. Right, would you have liked one of these games to be The Witcher 4?
