The two newly revealed monsters debut in the franchise in Monster Hunter Rise. The cunning Bishaten is a new threat with its peculiar tail and its fondness for fruit, which it carries in a pouch on its belly and hurls at its prey. In its offensive arsenal, Bishaten also has several tail attacks and powerful spinning blows that will challenge hunters. Another addition to the cast is Somnacanth, an intoxicating aquatic beast capable of exhaling a sleep-inducing powder that stuns opponents, leaving them vulnerable.
The new trailer also shows a bit of Royal Ludroth and its spongy mane and the venomous bird-serpent Great Wroggi, two monsters that are back to fill out the roster of adversaries in Monster Hunter Rise. As for the hunting grounds, besides the already revealed Shrine Ruins, the new Flooded Forest area will let you explore and face powerful monsters in a swampy environment.
The mysterious “Rampage” events that have been threatening Kamura Village and its inhabitants were also shown in the new trailer. The villagers and the players of Monster Hunter Rise will have to build their defenses and prepare for the battle of their lives. More information about the “Rampage” will be revealed in the coming months.
A demo version of Monster Hunter Rise for Nintendo Switch was announced today and will be released worldwide in January 2021. The free demo will give hunters their first opportunity to try the game’s innovative features, including the debut of the Wirebug mechanic and the Palamute companion, who can help by tracking and fighting monsters in new ways. Other details of the demo, including the exact date, will be announced soon.
Monster Hunter Rise is an action RPG that will transport players to the picturesque Kamura Village, which attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. After hunters put on their armor and choose one of the many weapon types, new hunting grounds await them, including the ancient Shrine Ruins and more. The debut of the new “Wirebug” mechanic offers new mobility and combat options, letting you climb walls and other hard-to-reach areas, as well as enabling new aerial attack options.
Monster Hunter Rise will also mark the debut of the new hunting partners called Palamutes, “Canyne” companions that give players a new set of attack options, while the familiar “Felyne” Palicos return as support characters that perform healing and other actions. As players defeat monsters and progress through the game, items from fallen opponents can be used to forge new weapons and armor that increase the chances of success against bigger threats. Hunters can take on these challenges alone or with up to three other players in local or online co-op matches, taking advantage of the versatility of the Nintendo Switch system, which makes it possible to play anywhere, anytime!
In Brazil, Monster Hunter Rise is already available for digital pre-order for Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop for R$ 249,90 in the standard version, and also in a Deluxe Edition for R$ 299,90 that also includes a DLC pack with bonus in-game content, such as the “Kamurai” layered armor set, exclusive gestures, cosmetic items and more.
