Two years after launch, Darkest Dungeon II is getting a real box. Red Hook Studios and Skybound Games announced Darkest Dungeon II: Anniversary Edition for PS5 and Switch, available for pre-order on Amazon.com with shipping expected in the fourth quarter of 2025. Price in Brazilian reais was not announced.
What comes in the box
- Physical game for PS5 or Switch;
- Steelbook with the key art;
- Pop-up combat diorama and a paper model of the stagecoach;
- Card deck with the characters;
- Soundtrack codes (more than 20 tracks, including the Kingdoms OST);
- Three DLC codes (ESRB regions only): The Binding Blade, The Inhuman Bondage and The Infernal Supporter Pack.
And there’s more
A livestream took place on May 9 at 6 p.m. (Brasília time) on Red Hook’s Twitch. The second module of the free Kingdoms mode, “Secrets of the Coven”, arrives first on PlayStation on May 7 and then on Xbox and Switch at the end of the month. The first Darkest Dungeon passed 6 million copies.
Our take
A pop-up diorama and a paper stagecoach? That is old-school collector stuff, dude. Too bad the DLCs are locked to the ESRB region, and anyone importing from Brazil needs to watch out for that.
