Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sales exceed Activision’s expectations

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sales exceed Activision's expectations, with more than 2 million units sold in two days, FromSoftware's best debut.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest game released by FromSoftware, the company famous for the Dark Souls series. In the game we take the role of the shinobi (ninja) named Sekiro. The game has already reached high approval and sales, being FromSoftware’s game with the best debut so far, with more than 2 million units sold in just 2 days. Activision, the company responsible for publishing the game, was surprised by the game’s sales, which may indicate it will support FromSoftware in future projects. Activision’s COO (Chief Operating Officer) referred to the game as follows:

“The first quarter featured the very successful launch of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the result of Activision’s approach of selectively allying with high-quality creators who benefit from our experience and ability to launch and promote. We could not be happier with the collaboration, the execution and the response of communities around the world to the critically acclaimed game from FromSoftware.”
