Brazilian game Skydome gets a Christmas event and a new character.
It’s Christmas in Skydome, the first multiplayer tower defense game published by Nomad EGL. Until January 5, Skydome hosts the event, which brings four champion skins and two defense wall skins with a Christmas theme.
Besides the Christmas items, Skydome also gets a new ‘champion’ (playable character) who will remain available even after the temporary Christmas event ends. She is Ellie, a young elf who fights crime and injustice. Equipped with flying boots and accompanied by her best friend, the teddy bear Mr. Sardines, Ellie flies over the Skydome arena defending her artifact with great agility.
Developed by Brazil’s Kinship, Skydome is a challenging and fun multiplayer tower defense game with unique and intense gameplay of pure strategy and action. In Skydome, the match takes place in two arenas, with two teams of four players. Each player picks a ‘champion’ (character) and, together with teammates, must build towers and walls to defend the main artifact of their base from the enemy’s attack, while trying to attack the main artifact of the enemy base. The team that best prevents the opponent from invading its base and helps its troops destroy the opponent’s artifact wins.
Players can choose among nine champions with different powers and abilities. This choice makes all the difference in the team’s strategy and performance and can be key to success in matches. Skydome is free-to-play, but players who want an even more customized battlefield can buy paid packs with cosmetic items for characters, towers and walls, as well as diamonds (the game’s virtual currency), experience bonuses to level up, animated icons, banners, concept art and more.
