BlazBlue Central Fiction Special Edition for Switch will launch in North America only via Nintendo eShop

BlazBlue Central Fiction Special Edition arrives on Switch in North America on February 7, 2019, digitally only on the Nintendo eShop, says Arc System Works.

The Nintendo Switch will receive a North American version of the second-to-last installment of the BlazBlue series, called Central Fiction Special Edition, on February 7, 2019, according to an announcement from Arc System Works.

However, the game will not be sold on physical media, a blow to collectors and to those who prefer to have a physical copy of their games.

The game’s release was scheduled for February 7 in Japan and February 8 in Europe, with both digital versions and physical media.

The Nintendo Switch also has the franchise’s most recent installment, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, but that game is a spin-off/crossover with three other fighting games, and is not part of the series’ chronology.
