Summer Game Fest officially kicks off this Thursday, 05/07/2020, with Microsoft’s special Inside Xbox, which will focus on trailers, teasers and gameplay of games running on Xbox Series X. They will also confirm which games will have the Smart Delivery feature, meaning that when you buy the game for Xbox, you can play the best version for your Xbox device.
Summer Game Fest is a season of events among the world’s biggest game publishers, and was created to fill the gap left by this year’s E3, because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Geoff, there will be three months with several events taking part in SGF, with reveals of new games, never-before-seen gameplay of already announced games, demos and much more.
SGF was conceived by Geoff Keighley, a games journalist who was once part of the site GameTrailers, the G4TV channel, and is also the creator of The Game Awards, an annual event that is a kind of Oscars of video games.
For now, the official SGF website lists two scheduled events: the Inside Xbox on 05/07 and an event called Sunrise #1 on 05/12, which will feature the reveal of a surprise game by Geoff himself.
