What arrives in Battlefield 6 Season 5

The new season starts on October 13 and, according to EA, includes:

  • Three new maps, with the battle set in Nevada;
  • New weapons;
  • Rapid Royale, a new way to play Battle Royale;
  • A new event and other news that should be detailed before launch.

The trailer serves as a teaser – full details on maps, weapons and the event have not been released yet. As soon as EA publishes the season notes, we will update here.

Battlefield 6 and REDSEC

Battlefield is one of the most traditional shooter franchises, with more than two decades of large-scale combat. According to EA, the series totals 100 million players and 5 billion hours played, and Battlefield 6 was the biggest launch in the franchise’s history. Battlefield REDSEC opened a new era for the series with a focus on Battle Royale – and it is precisely the one getting the new Rapid Royale mode this season.

With the arrival of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, Season 5 arrives ten days before its main rival, in a very busy month for FPS fans.
