Spider-Man: Miles Morales gets a 60fps mode with ray tracing enabled

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales gets a Performance RT mode on PS5 that runs at 60 fps with ray tracing enabled, after an update from Insomniac.

Insomniac Games released an update yesterday for its latest PS5 game, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, with a new game mode called Performance RT.

In this mode, the resolution is lowered so the game runs at a constant 60fps with Ray Tracing also enabled, improving overall quality in the game.

Until yesterday, the game had only two modes to choose from:

Fidelity: a mode with 30 frames per second, but with improved graphical features such as ray tracing, better lighting and additional visual effects.

Performance: a mode with 60 frames per second, but without the improved graphical features, and with pixel reconstruction techniques to reach 4K resolution.

In Performance RT mode, besides the resolution, the number of pedestrians and the quality of reflections were slightly reduced compared to Fidelity mode, so the game keeps 60fps with ray tracing on.

Obviously, this update only works on the PlayStation 5 version.
